Bhubaneswar, April 2: Odisha has experienced a significant rise in its Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue for March 2025, with a total collection of ₹5,809 crore. This marks a 14% increase compared to ₹5,109 crore collected in March 2024. Over the period from April 2024 to March 2025, the state’s total GST collection reached ₹60,298 crore.
The collection breakdown includes ₹18,108 crore from state GST, ₹17,957 crore from combined GST, and ₹10,185 crore from cess. These figures highlight the state’s positive economic momentum and robust growth in tax revenues.
On the national level, GST collections for March 2025 stood at ₹1.96 lakh crore, reflecting a 9.9% increase compared to the previous year. The national breakdown includes ₹38,100 crore from central GST, ₹49,900 crore from state GST, ₹95,900 crore from combined GST, and ₹12,300 crore from cess.
This surge in GST collections indicates strengthening economic conditions and growing revenues both for Odisha and across India.
