READING, Pa, April 22, 2025 –Omega Systems, a leading provider of managed IT and security services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Smith as Vice President of Corporate Development. In this role, Smith will lead the company’s M&A strategy and execution as Omega continues its aggressive expansion throughout the Northeast and across the U.S.
Smith brings deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, with a track record of leading strategic deal sourcing, negotiation, and integration across the IT and managed services sectors. Prior to joining Omega, Smith served as Director of Corporate Development at Dataprise, where he executed seven acquisitions and played a pivotal role in building the company’s acquisition pipeline. Most recently, he founded and led Prosim Partners, an M&A advisory firm focused on buy-side consulting for private equity firms and strategic acquirers.
“Greg’s hands-on experience leading successful acquisitions, combined with his operational understanding of the managed services space, makes him a tremendous asset as we accelerate our next phase of growth,” said Mike Fuhrman, CEO of Omega Systems. “With four successful acquisitions in the past three years, we’re excited to hit the gas pedal and bring a dedicated focus to our corporate development strategy.”
Omega’s prior M&A activity has expanded the company’s capabilities in cybersecurity, IT compliance and managed cloud connectivity and strengthened its vertical market presence in key industries such as financial services and healthcare. In January 2025, Omega received a strategic investment from Revelstoke Capital Partners and announced plans to further expand its geographic footprint, enhance its IT services portfolio and deepen its support of highly regulated industries.
In his new role, Smith will be responsible for identifying and executing strategic acquisitions that align with Omega’s long-term vision and customer-focused values.
“I’m thrilled to join Omega Systems at such a pivotal time in its growth journey,” said Smith. “They have an outstanding reputation for delivering best-in-class IT and security services, and I’m excited to work alongside the Omega and Revelstoke teams to help accelerate that momentum by identifying strategic opportunities that enhance our value to customers and expand our capabilities in key markets.”
Smith holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Tech and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is also the founder and advisor of a series of philanthropic initiatives that support the Special Olympics in Southwest Virginia.
