The three-day PM Vishwakarma Exhibition-cum-Trade Fair concluded successfully on Saturday at Aggrasen Bhawan in Hisar, bringing together traditional artisans, government officials and market experts to promote entrepreneurship and improve market access for artisans under the PM Vishwakarma scheme of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Organised by the MSME Development and Facilitation Office, Bhiwani, the exhibition featured nearly 50 stalls showcasing products from various traditional trades including pottery, tailoring, cobbling, masonry, goldsmithy, garland making and other handcrafted items. The fair, held from March 6 to March 8, provided artisans with an opportunity to interact directly with customers and institutional buyers while gaining exposure to modern marketing practices.

Addressing participants on the concluding day, Smt. Rachna Tripathi, Assistant Director at the MSME Development & Facilitation Office, Bhiwani, highlighted the government’s increasing focus on strengthening what she described as the “second mandatory step” in artisan development — refining products through branding, storytelling, taglines and emotional connect with buyers. She noted that this step will help beneficiaries transition from trained artisans into competitive entrepreneurs.

Alongside the exhibition, several capacity-building sessions were organised for artisans covering topics such as onboarding onto e-commerce platforms, GST awareness, branding and packaging, and strategies to reach wider markets through digital channels. Officials from both Central and State MSME departments also visited the stalls to interact with artisans and guide them on government schemes and support mechanisms available for their growth.

The closing ceremony recognised participating artisans for their efforts, with awards presented for Best Decorated Stall and Maximum Sales Achieved. All artisans were also honoured with mementos in appreciation of their participation. Officials from the MSME office, including Sh. Mukesh Kumar, Sh. Palvinder Singh, Mr. Deepak Jangra, Ms. Heena Bhati and Sh. Tanuj Sihag, were present during the event, which also marked the celebration of International Women’s Day with Vishwakarma artisans and members of HRSLM Hisar.

The Rohtak-based firm ADKMAKERS was also felicitated for supporting the event through market linkage facilitation and branding guidance. According to Rahul Dhingra, Director of ADKMAKERS, efforts were made to connect artisans with potential buyers while training them in branding, labelling and product consistency. The exhibition forms part of the broader ₹13,000-crore PM Vishwakarma initiative aimed at strengthening traditional crafts through skill development, credit support, toolkits and improved market access.
