Tamannaah Bhatia Celebrates WOMEN’S DAY at Hyderabad

Star actress Tamannaah Bhatia & Mr Sundeep Chugh, CEO & Managing Director, Benetton India, unveiling the span-new collection from United Colors of Benetton, today at United Colors of Benetton store at GVK One, Banjara Hills.

United Colors of Benetton launches their SS19 collection with Tamannaah Bhatia, setting the trend this summer with pristine color block range. Pick your color from the wide array because no matter what your choice is, these warm hues and stylish silhouettes are ready to brighten up the season.

Speaking on the occasion Tamannaah said, I have grown up with the United Colors of Benetton and I am here to launch the spring summer collection. Though the roots of United Colors of Benetton is Italian, but they understood the Indian customer and his needs extremely well and are presenting the ones which go with us well. This brand really has comfortable clothing to suit our Indian style. They have quirky caption T-shirts and I am a big fan of their captioned T-shirts. Colors is something we all love and there can’t be something more bright than this. They have always sensitised public on socially relevant issues like racism, women empowerment, AIDS, long before the society started to focus on them and that is something I personally relate with. My parents never differentiated between a boy and a girl, I have a brother too, since I grew up in such upbringing, I never felt any less or discriminated, even during film shooting I was treated like anyone else. Regarding women empowerment I feel if a woman is independent, than the family is independent and that is the core of women empowerment. For the young women, my message is it is very important to be you, the authentic you and explore for your true self in life. Actress Sridevi and Madhuri Dixit were a great inspiration to become an actor, even now if I have to watch a old film I watch their films, that makes me basically happy and complete, so I keep watching their films.

Mr Sundeep Chugh, CEO, Benetton India, said, right from inception we have been a very socially responsible brand. As a brand we want to act as a positive enabler in the society and initiate positive conversation, it is important to generate positive growth in the society, when the society grows positively the world a better place. We have done lot of work on Women empowerment in India, because when woman goes out and does well, it’s the growth of the family, the family grows and the country grows, if the country grows the universe grows. Current collection seen at Milan is actually inspired by Benetton’s own heritage line of 80s, where we had used extensive colors. Also we merged our color pattern with very very important messages around the society. Its a blend of colourful heritage collections with very relevant social messages and that received positive response.

United Colors of Benetton reaffirms its commitment to the empowerment and legitimation of women around the world. The brand has had various campaigns that have taken place in the past like #UnitedByHalf – The campaign was all about promoting gender equality and women empowerment, the campaign was launched worldwide for International Women’s Day – 2018 #UnitedbyHer – To mark the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Benetton India announced a special initiative to highlight the importance of breast awareness with #UnitedByHer campaign, keeping the brands focus on Women Empowerment#UnitedbyDonts – The United by Don’t’s part was held by United Colors of Benetton, turned out to be a platform for discussion of several don’ts that womenface every day. Attended by over 4,000 people, this was a part of the brand’s #UnitedByDonts campaign to support women and build awareness.
