Chandigarh, October 09th, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the state-of-the-art Navi Mumbai International Airport, a world-class facility set to transform air travel and boost trade and tourism across Mumbai, Pune, and the Konkan region.
Tata Steel has been a key partner in the project, supplying over 8,500 tonnes of high-strength steel that form the backbone of the airport’s infrastructure. This contribution has helped create a facility that will enhance global connectivity for millions of Mumbaikars.

For the project, Tata Steel supplied a range of specialised products essential for the airport’s structural integrity, including TMT Bars, Tiscon Readybuild (Cut and Bend), Sm@rtFAB (Welded Wire Mesh), and Tata Structura (structural steel tubes).
