Titomic Delivers D623 Cold Spray System to UNILIM & SAFIR for R&D

FEBRUARY 19, 2025: Titomic Limited (ASX: TTT) announces the sale of a D623 Medium-Pressure Cold Spray System to Université de Limoges (UNILIM) in collaboration with SAFIR (Surface Advanced Functionalization for Industry and Research).
The D623 will be integral to the development of aerospace applications, with UNILIM and SAFIR undertaking the project on behalf of a multinational aerospace, defence, and security corporation.

UNILIM’s investment in the D623 builds on its existing Titomic D523 Low-Pressure System, significantly expanding research capabilities in advanced surface engineering for aerospace. The D623 enables the deposition of harder materials, including titanium and other advanced metal alloys, which are essential for enhancing material performance, wear resistance, and component longevity in high-stress environments.

This order aligns with the global expansion of cold spray technology, which is projected to grow from USD 1,046.3 million in 2022 to USD 1,713.0 million by 2030 at a CAGR of 6.4% (Grandview Research, 2023). Growth in aerospace manufacturing and the adoption of cold spray as a repair technique for lightweight alloys are key drivers of this trend.

The order further strengthens Titomic’s footprint in aerospace, complementing its existing additive manufacturing system at TWI UK, which services the commercial aerospace industry. It also adds to the growing adoption Titomic’s cold spray systems by major aerospace firms, including Airbus, for aerospace MRO applications.

As demand for cold spray technology accelerates, Titomic continues to lead in advanced manufacturing solutions, supporting innovation in aerospace and defence.
