Mumbai, July 8, 2025: Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (HOSE: VJC) has officially announced the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son as its new Managing Director, succeeding Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong. Mr. Son will lead the new-age carrier into its next phase of development.
His appointment comes as Vietjet continues to grow its operations globally and across India. The airline currently operates 78 weekly flights connecting New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Kochi to some of Southeast Asia’s most vibrant destinations, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
Mr. Son has been with Vietjet since its inception, playing a pivotal role in shaping the airline’s innovative business and marketing strategies, and contributing significantly to the growth of the aviation industry.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Economics, with over 30 years of experience in the aviation sector. Mr. Son represents a new generation of intelligent, and visionary leaders with a global mindset, balancing innovation with strategic discipline, He is widely respected for his humility and openness to learning.
