Vijayawada welcomes Bounce scooters to enhance city’s mobility

Bounce, India’s first smart mobility player, today announced its maiden entry into Andhra Pradesh with its plan to launch docked scooter sharing service in Vijayawada. The company made an official announcement in an event graced by District Collector Sri Md. Imtiaz IAS and District Revenue Officer Sri A. Prasad. They welcomed Bounce services in Vijayawada by holding the Bounce launch poster at the Collectors Camp office.

Commenting on the launch, District Collector, Sri Md. Imtiaz IAS said, “This is a commendable initiative by Bounce and we are enthusiastic about their plan to deploy docked scooters in Vijayawada. We have been actively working to introduce smart mobility options in the city. With Bounce, residents of Vijayawada will have access to convenient and affordable commuting options.”

Bounce currently operates in the city of Bangalore with 17,000 dockless scooters and has presence in over 35 cities in rental/docked model. Accessibility and affordability have made Bounce one of the preferred modes of transport, both for first and last mile connectivity as well as regular commute. The company started its operations in Bangalore in September 2018 and has done over 10 million transaction, covering over 70 million kilometres. Bounce has been an enabler by providing first and last-mile connectivity and encouraging users to use public transport; 45% of Bounce trips start or end at public transport stations. The company has invested heavily to ensure the safety of its customers and provides a 24×7 real-time tracking with all-day customer service. With strong presence in Bangalore & Hyderabad, the company is now planning to expand its fleet into other cities.
