The 10-month blended programme equips participants through the five pillars of contemporary healthcare leadership — Strategy, Finance, Governance, Technology and Ethics, delivered through applied learning formats such as case discussions, simulations and a capstone project. Through a global curriculum, participants will develop the ability to formulate and execute strategic direction, manage value drivers and financial performance, integrate technology and new business models for competitive advantage and strengthen governance and ESG discipline for leading large-scale organisations. Sorbonne Business School will add a global C-suite edge by sharpening technology strategy and helping participants align digital transformation initiatives with organisational goals.

The demand for leadership depth in healthcare continues to rise as systems worldwide confront structural talent gaps and increasing complexity. McKinsey estimates that the global healthcare workforce could face a shortfall of at least ten million professionals by 2030 and that narrowing this gap could yield significant gains for population health and productivity. Industry estimates indicate that the global healthcare staffing market was valued at USD 41.7 billion in 2023 and could reach USD 74.2 billion by 2032, growing at a CAGR of 6.7% from 2024 to 2032. These trends, alongside India’s growing requirement for trained healthcare management professionals, highlight the need for executives who can lead growth, resilience and ethical change at scale.

Santosh Sangem, Assistant Professor (Finance), Convenor, International Relations & Collaborations, XLRI, said,

“Healthcare leadership today requires far more than functional expertise; it demands strategic clarity, financial judgement, ethical conviction and the ability to mobilise technology for measurable patient and system outcomes. Through this programme with Sorbonne Business School, we are enabling senior healthcare professionals to operate with a global perspective and governance rigour and to lead transformation across institutions and ecosystems.”

The Executive Development Programme in Global Strategy & Leadership for Healthcare Professionals is ideal for senior decision-makers across the healthcare value chain, including hospital and clinic owners, directors and promoters; C-suite and functional leaders; senior clinicians and healthcare consultants; policymakers and leaders from pharmaceuticals; and experienced professionals from healthcare services, life sciences and MedTech who want to strengthen enterprise-wide leadership capability.

The programme spans 11 modules, including Effective Decision Making, Strategic Direction & Organisational Culture, Finance, Building Business Models, Technology Strategy, ESG & Corporate Governance, Leading Change & Managing Diversity, and Ethical Challenges, among others. Participants will also complete a five-day immersion session at XLRI Delhi campus.
