Indore, 28 August 2025: “A good team is one which makes 1+1, 11 not 2,” said Retired Air Marshal Shashiker Choudhary at NMIMS Indore’s Undergraduate Convocation 2025. He encouraged graduates from the School of Law (SOL), School of Commerce (SOC), and School of Technology, Management & Engineering (STME) to remain resilient, innovative, and mentally agile as they step into the next phase of their careers.
Shri Choudhary, former Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Maintenance Command, emphasized discipline, resilience, and consistent effort as keys to success, sharing, “Edison tried 1000 times, he set his mind and the one time he succeeded, he marked history”
Recognized with honors including the Param Vishisht Seva Medal (PVSM), Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM), Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM), and Aide-de-Camp (ADC), he further added, “I have taken and implemented learnings from various thinkers of our history like Chanakya and that has given me handsome rewards, longevity in career and over and above the job satisfaction that I got. “
Adding to this, Dr. Sharad Mhaiskar highlighted NMIMS’ continued commitment to academic excellence, saying: “Over the last year, NMIMS has been focusing on the four building blocks of knowledge creation, teaching and learning excellence, stakeholder engagement and enhancing perception. In this direction, a massive effort has been taken to ensure that there is multi-campus coordination of programs. This is gradually ensuring uniform and quality delivery across programs and campuses, though we have a long way to go.
SVKM, the parent trust, has a great legacy, history and heritage of more than 90 years. NMIMS deemed-to-be university has a journey of excellence of 20+ years. In this 20+ years journey, the university has made rapid strides and is recognized in the HE sector as a leading university.”
Degrees were conferred to students of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com (Hons.), BBA, B.Tech (CSBS), and MBA (Tech) Computer programmes, and awards recognized high achievers, all-round performers, faculty, and staff.
