Heriot-Watt University Dubai Launches First-Ever May Intake beginning in 2026

Feb 25: Heriot-Watt University Dubai has opened applications for its May 2026 intake, offering Indian students the opportunity to enrol in the MSc International Business Management with Marketing and MSc International Business Management with Finance courses. The additional May entry point provides greater flexibility for students to pursue a globally recognised postgraduate business qualification. Eligible applicants can also benefit from the Future Shapers Award, which offers a tuition fee reduction of AED 6,000, subject to scholarship criteria and deposit timelines. Applications are currently open, with enrolments closing on 12 May 2026.

The programmes are designed for graduates from non-business backgrounds and for early-career professionals seeking to build global business expertise. The curriculum covers international strategy, finance, marketing, economics and organisational behaviour, and culminates in a dissertation. Both programmes integrate practical and applied learning to ensure students engage with real-world business problems. By working on relevant industry projects and scenarios, students gain hands-on experience that prepares them for professional and managerial careers. Through rigorous teaching and a strong emphasis on critical thinking, the programmes prepare graduates to advance to research training and further academic study in related fields.

Delivered through Heriot-Watt University’s Edinburgh Business School at the University’s state-of-the-art Dubai campus, students benefit from a modern learning environment featuring advanced teaching facilities, collaborative study spaces and strong industry connections. Located within Dubai’s global business hub, the campus is close to leading organisations such as Visa, Google, Cisco, and Microsoft, providing students with exposure to an international professional environment.

Designed to accommodate different learning needs and professional commitments, flexible study options allow students to choose between a 12-month full-time or 24-month part-time pathway. Upon completion, graduates are equipped to pursue careers in areas such as international business management, marketing strategy, financial planning and analysis, consulting, project management and corporate leadership roles across the private and public sectors.

Commenting on the announcement, Meenu Sharma, Director for South Asia, Heriot-Watt University, said,

The May intake reflects growing demand from Indian students seeking internationally recognised business qualifications with flexible entry points. Students graduate with a globally recognised Heriot-Watt University degree identical to the one awarded in the UK, with the same academic standards, assessment, and quality assurance. This ensures strong international recognition and credibility with employers worldwide.

As a leading business and finance hub in the Middle East, Dubai provides students with direct access to global industries, diverse business networks and real-world opportunities that enhance their career readiness,” she further added.

Accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and approved under the UK Royal Charter, Heriot-Watt University is one of the first British universities to establish a campus in Dubai. The University’s graduate employability rate of 95 per cent at graduation reflects the strength of its programmes, the industry-relevant skills developed by students, and the strong demand in the UAE job market. Students also join a global network spanning campuses in Scotland, Dubai and Malaysia, alongside an alumni community of more than 173,000 across over 190 countries.
