IIM Bodh Gaya Ascends to 31st Rank in NIRF 2025, Leads Bihar in Management Education
Bodh Gaya, September 5, 2025: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya has achieved a notable milestone by leaping two positions to secure the 31st rank in the Management category of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025. This advancement marks a substantial rise from its 53rd position in 2023, reinforcing the institute’s steadily upward trajectory and its distinction as the only management institute from Bihar to be featured among the nation’s top 50 business schools.
The NIRF, launched by the Ministry of Education in 2015, annually evaluates institutions on critical pillars such as teaching, learning, research, graduation outcomes, inclusivity, and peer perception. The significant jump in rankings highlights IIM Bodh Gaya’s continued commitment to academic excellence and impactful contribution to higher management education in the region.
Under the leadership of Director Prof. Vinita S. Sahay, IIM Bodh Gaya has set a new standard for management education in the state, focusing on holistic development, innovative teaching methods, and industry collaborations. The institute currently enrols over 1,600 students across the country in five fully residential programs: Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), MBA, MBA in Digital Business Management (DBM), MBA in Healthcare and Hospital Management.
With this recognition, IIM Bodh Gaya is currently ranked ahead of all new-generation Indian Institutes of Management established around the same time, reflecting its rapid and sustained growth further consolidating its stature as a premier business school in eastern India.
