Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) offers scholarships to students enrolled at India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) 2025

The Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) made a dynamic presence at the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC) 2025, held from November 5 to 7 at the Chennai Trade Center. Occupying Booth E7, IICT championed the theme “Empowering Tomorrow’s Creators” with an immersive showcase of its world-class AVGC-XR (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, and Extended Reality) education and innovation ecosystem.

Speaking about IICT’s participation, Vishwas Deoskar, CEO of the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies, said, “Our goal at IICT has always been to nurture a new generation of creators who think fearlessly and innovate without limits. IGDC gave us the perfect platform to connect with young talent and demonstrate how AVGC-XR education can open pathways to global opportunities in creative technology. We are not just teaching skills, we are building futures.”

Visitors to the IICT booth experienced engaging, hands-on activities throughout the three-day event. The Beat Saber Contest and Avatar Mashup Challenge tested creativity and reflexes, with winners announced daily and rewarded with exclusive IICT gift boxes.

In addition to the on-ground excitement, IICT offered an exclusive 35% scholarship on tuition fees for its courses, including a special 10% additional scholarship for participants who enrolled during the event days.

IICT commenced its first academic batch this year following its official announcement by the Hon’ble Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, at the WAVE Summit in May 2025. The institute currently offers 18 industry-driven courses across AVGC-XR including six specialised gaming programmes, four in post-production, and the remainder across animation, comics, and XR. Its first full cohort began classes in September 2025. These programmes are designed to deliver production-ready skills through hands-on labs, studio projects, and industry mentorship.

IICT has also signed MoUs and established partnerships with leading technology and creative companies and universities including Google/YouTube, Microsoft, Meta, NVIDIA, and international academic collaborators such as York University (Canada), to provide certifications, faculty exchanges, joint research, platform access, and global internship opportunities for students. These collaborations are aimed at bridging classroom learning with real-world workflows and empowering students for success in the global creator economy.
