PANORAMA 2025: MAHE Manipal Welcomes Online Learners for a Transformative On-Campus Experience

Manipal, 9 June 2025: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, organized PANORAMA 2025, an exclusive in-person immersion event for its online degree and certificate learners. PANORAMA 2025 was held on May 31, 2025, at the Manipal campus, bringing nearly 200 learners from across the country together in an engaging, full-day event. Learners were registered in a variety of courses, including MBA, MCA, MSc in Data Science, MSc in Business Analytics, PGCP in Logistics & Supply Chain, and PGCP in Business Analytics.

The event provided learners with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet face-to-face with their faculty and fellow learners. It enabled the learners to connect with the MAHE community and to develop significant professional and academic relationships.  The day was organized with a thoughtfully curated mix of academic interactions, cultural performances, as well as opportunities to explore and experience the campus.

PANORAMA 2025 was graced by the Chief Guest, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, VSM (Retd.)  Vice Chancellor, MAHE, Manipal; Guest of Honour, Dr. Rohini Srivathsa, Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft India & South Asia; Dr. Giridhar Kini, Registrar, MAHE; Dr. Manojkumar Nagasampige, Director, Directorate of Online Education, MAHE; and Mr. Ambrish Sinha, CEO, UNext Learning Pvt. Ltd.

Addressing the gathering, Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, VSM (Retd.), Vice Chancellor, MAHE, said, “We are really honoured to welcome you all. You are a part of 10,000+ online learners and 50,000+ on-campus learners in Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) overseas and within the country. We appreciate the choice of selecting MAHE for your upskilling, reskilling, and advancement of your academic qualification.”

Dr. Manojkumar Nagasampige, Director, Directorate of Online Education, MAHE, welcomed the learners, stating, “Panorama 2025 is meant to be an enriching experience through thought-provoking discussions, engagement, cultural acts, and more meaningful interaction with fellow human beings. We hope that when you leave here today, you will not only take away knowledge and memories, but a renewed sense of belonging to the MAHE community.”

Dr. Rohini Srivathsa, Chief Technology Officer, Microsoft India & South Asia, reflecting on the future of learning, remarked, “Today is just the beginning of a lifelong journey in many ways. The online medium opens the ‘Panorama’ in a limitless way. What today’s technologies and the online world provide is without limits. The access to information, knowledge, and insights is forever. The only limitation is your curiosity.”

Dr. Giridhar Kini, Registrar, MAHE, advised the online learners, “Do not focus on missing out on the campus life; instead, focus on what you get to gain and make the best out of whatever is available to you. As you progress, don’t forget to network and connect with people as you move along career paths and when you graduate, effort and time permitting, help those who need your help. Be the light.”

Mr. Ambrish Sinha, CEO, UNext Learning Pvt. Ltd, emphasized the future of education in the age of AI, stating, “UNext Learning is incredibly excited to be a part of your online journey. With the world changing so fast and the emergence of AI, education is going to be one of the biggest beneficiaries, particularly online learning! AI tutors and personalization of learning are the future. We, at MAHE and UNext Learning, aspire to make this future possible for you.”

A highlight of the event was the MAHE Online Alumni Portal launch, unveiled by Dr. Rohini Srivathsa, which will create opportunities for ongoing professional connection and community-building for MAHE’s online learners long after they have graduated.

The event also featured a panel discussion on “AI in Education: Reimagining Teaching, Learning, and Leadership,” moderated by Dr. Manojkumar Nagasampige. The esteemed panel included Lt. Gen. (VSM) (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, Dr. Rohini Srivathsa, Dr. Ganesh Paramasivam (KMC), Prof. Sudarsan N S Acharya (Manipal School of Information Sciences), and Mr. Ambrish Sinha.

Learners actively engaged with faculty in post-panel discussions, gaining valuable insights into their academic progress and future prospects. The day concluded with vibrant cultural performances and a guided campus tour, leaving learners with a renewed sense of connection and purpose.

Participants expressed heartfelt appreciation for the opportunity to experience MAHE’s campus life firsthand, build new relationships, and deepen their affiliation with the institution.
