Pune, October 29th, 2025: Global Indian International School (GIIS) is making history as a third campus is set to commence operations in Charholi. The school has already garnered the admissions of more than 1,000 learners in its pre-launch phase. The new campus is strategically designed to introduce a pioneering combination of world-class British pedagogy, cutting-edge facilities and compelling value for modern Indian families raising the bar in K-12 education space in Pune’s fastest growing townships.
GIIS has two other highly successful K-12 campuses in Pune at Balewadi and Hadapsar areas.
“Our third campus in Pune reflects the growing trust in GIIS’s global education model among the parent community,” said Mr. Atul Temurnikar, Chairman and Co-founder, Global Schools Group. “We are expanding not just in scale, but in purpose—creating campuses that blend innovation, technology and global pedagogy to shape the leaders of tomorrow.”
Spread across 4.7 acres, the campus to be operational from the upcoming academic session 2026-27, offers a curriculum anchored in CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) — India’s most trusted national educational board — yet enriched with global best practices, inquiry-centred learning, digital fluency, and structured value-based education. The 9 GEMS pedagogy will emphasise on excellence beyond academics in areas including sports, leadership, innovation, community service and universal values.
In doing so, the campus offers a unique proposition: the academically rigorous pathway valued by Indian parents, coupled with an internationally competitive learning experience. The campus will have a skills-based approach to learning of science, mathematics, IT, languages and arts, complemented by fully equipped wellness rooms and fantastic sports facilities.
GIIS Charholi is part of Singapore-based Global Schools Group, an educational networkk which spans across 11 countries including Japan, Malaysia, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates and others. The school will follow the inclusive philosophy of GSG which comes with a promise of engaging students in more than classroom knowledge as they engage with international peers, participate in competitions on global platforms and attend virtual exchanges. This positions them not just for national academic success, but for future-ready careers and global citizenship — a dimension not widely offered in peer day-schools.
GSG schools have consistently shown strong results in Board exams, and their students have been placed in the Top 50 universities worldwide for graduation studies. “Our goal is to make future-ready education accessible to every learner in Pune and beyond, while staying true to our philosophy of the Joy of Learning. We are excited to bring a best-in-class learning ecosystem to Charholi and deliver the Joy of Learning to more families in Pune,” added Mr Temurnikar, who is winner of the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2025.
Since its announcement, the campus has received an extraordinary response from parents, reflecting Pune’s growing demand for global-standard education.
“The launch of our Charholi campus is a significant milestone in our journey to make global-quality education more accessible across India,” said Mr. Rajeev Koul, Deputy COO, Global Schools Group. “We are delighted by the encouraging response from parents and look forward to shaping a new generation of learners with our holistic approach and international curriculum.”
For the academic year 2026-27, admissions are open from Pre-Nursery to Grade 7, with classes commencing in April 2026.
