University of Southampton Delhi welcomes its first students with a dynamic Induction and employability programme

23rd September 2025 – New students at the University of Southampton Delhi enjoyed face-to-face sessions with industry leaders and entrepreneurs as part of their welcome to campus. The two-week induction and employability programme marked the beginning of an exciting academic journey at the world top 100 university. With a strong emphasis on employability, students were given early exposure to career advancement services, alumni success stories, and interactive sessions designed to help them define their vision of success and explore global career pathways.

Sessions featured Dr. Ajay Kohli (Director & Cluster Head, Narayana Health), Sahil Gupta (Partner, Deloitte), Neelendra Singh (Former Managing Director/General Manager, Adidas India), Siddhartha Tandon (Consultant, L.E.K. Consulting), and Dr. Saurabh Agarwal (Chief Manager & Faculty, ULA – Strategy & Finance).

Alumni such as Veenu Jain, Chief Operations Officer, Consulting Engineers Group (MSc Management, University of Southampton), and Ritesh Kaushik, Advocate & Partner, Kaushik and Associates (LLM Maritime Law, University of Southampton) also shared their professional journeys and insights.

Students further explored the Careers & Employability ecosystem across Delhi and UK campuses, participated in resume clinics and internship pathway briefings, engaged in vision boarding with industry partners, and joined workshops on emotional intelligence, entrepreneurship, and leadership, equipping them with the skills and perspectives to thrive in their university journey and future careers.

The first week of induction focused on fostering a sense of community and academic belonging through activities such as a grand welcome ceremony, interactive faculty introductions, campus tours, ice-breaking sessions, and student club showcases. Workshops on student support, wellbeing, and cultural activities provided insights into the inclusive and vibrant campus life.
