New Delhi, Mar 12th: The iconic voices of Indian music, Rekha Bhardwaj and Vishal Bhardwaj, delivered a mesmerizing musical evening at the live concert “Jazba–e–Ishq – A Celebration of Togetherness”, held at Bharat Mandapam Multipurpose Hall in the capital. The concert was organised by Rudraksh Live Entertainment under the leadership of its Founder and CEO Vivek Kaushik, and drew an enthusiastic audience that stayed enthralled till late into the night.
The evening opened with soothing melodies and gradually built into an immersive musical journey that kept the audience captivated throughout. Known for her distinctive, soulful voice, Rekha Bhardwaj rendered some of her most celebrated songs including “Namak Ishq Ka,” “Kabira,” and “Phir Le Aaya Dil,” earning thunderous applause from the packed auditorium.
Acclaimed composer, filmmaker and singer Vishal Bhardwaj also brought his signature musical flair to the stage with popular numbers such as “Pehli Baar Mohabbat,” “Beedi Jalaile,” “Dhan Te Nan,” and “Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji,” turning the concert into a lively, sing-along experience as many in the audience joined the artists in humming along. Adding a special highlight to the evening, Vishal Bhardwaj presented a glimpse of his unreleased Gadget Songs such as “Phone ko chhodo, meri janib dekho na… aankhon hi aankhon mein message bhejo na…” and “Sadiyon se kehte ho pahunche, bas pahunche… apna live location bhejo na…” left the audience delighted and added a contemporary poetic touch to the concert.
During the performance, both Rekha and Vishal Bhardwaj fondly spoke about their deep connection with Delhi, describing the city as home and sharing nostalgic anecdotes related to their journey and memories in the capital.The concert featured a dynamic live band, high-quality sound production and an aesthetically designed stage, enhancing the overall experience for music lovers. Spanning nearly two hours, the event turned into a memorable celebration of music, poetry and togetherness.
