Mahipal Singh Bhanot, Business Head – Fortis Gurugram, Fortis Manesar, Fortis Shalimar Bagh & Fortis Vasant Kunj, said “Swing for PINK is about creating awareness in a relatable, uplifting environment and taking meaningful steps towards women’s wellness, through sport and conversation, we hope to break stigmas, spark dialogue, and encourage women to prioritize preventive health and regular screening.”

Dr Alka Singh, Chief Medical Officer, Gurugram said “Breast cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among women. Awareness and regular screening are vital for prevention. Women should be familiar with how their breasts normally look and feel, and make self-breast examinations a monthly habit – a simple two-minute check that can help catch lumps or changes in texture at the earliest stage.”

Abhijit Singh, Facility Director, Fortis Hospital, Manesar, added “At Fortis Manesar, we firmly believe that early detection and education are the bedrock of the fight against breast cancer. Events such as ‘Swing for PINK’ help us extend our message beyond the hospital walls into everyday life, connecting with women in their own spaces and inspiring them to empower each other. Over the next two months, Fortis Manesar is committed to conducting 500 free mammograms across Gurugram to help detect cancers early when treatment has the greatest impact.”

Swati Dodeja, Founder, BirdiesConnect, shared, “Golf brings women together through shared passion and purpose. With Swing for PINK, we aim to channel that spirit into a movement that empowers women to take charge of their health and support one another.”

Celebrating strength, resilience, and community, Swing for PINK aims to highlight how awareness, sport, and collective action can make a real impact in women’s health. The event serves as a reminder that early detection saves lives, and conversations around breast health should begin long before symptoms arise.
