From Celebration to Community Care: Wockhardt Hospitals Marks Women’s Day ‘I Am Fearless’ with Impactful Outreach

Celebrating International Women’s Day through its annual “I Am Fearless” campaign, the hospital group brought together 1,800 female staff members — including RMOs, doctors, nurses, administrative professionals, housekeeping teams, and departmental associates — in a unified initiative aimed at promoting women’s health awareness, encouraging talent expression, and fostering solidarity within the organisation.

Conducted from 8 February to 6 March 2026, the campaign focused on holistic women’s health, encompassing physical, mental, and lifestyle well-being. This year, the initiative was strategically expanded beyond in-house engagement to reach women in the surrounding communities.

As part of the outreach efforts, doctor-led health awareness talks and preventive health check-up camps were organised across locations. Expert clinicians addressed key concerns related to anaemia, hormonal health, stress management, nutrition, lifestyle disorders, and early warning signs that women should not ignore. The objective was to promote timely health-seeking behaviour and reinforce the importance of preventive care.

Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd., said:

“At Wockhardt Hospitals, women’s health extends beyond clinical treatment — it is about awareness, prevention, and empowerment. Through the ‘I Am Fearless’ campaign, we moved beyond symbolic celebration to create meaningful conversations around holistic well-being. The overwhelming participation of over 1,800 staff members and the strong response from the community reinforce our commitment to preventive healthcare. When women are informed and confident about their health, families and communities become stronger.”

Amiya Kumar Sahoo, HR Head, Wockhardt Hospitals Group, added:

“This initiative reflects our commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive work environment for women across all roles. By combining celebration with health awareness and community outreach, we strengthened both internal engagement and our social responsibility efforts.”

Dr. Sushil Kumar, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road, further emphasised that women often prioritise the health of others over their own and that initiatives like “I Am Fearless” encourage timely medical consultation, self-care, and preventive health awareness. The outreach sessions created a safe platform for open discussions, enabling women to ask questions without hesitation.

The campaign concluded with a symbolic cake-cutting ceremony across centres, marking not just the celebration of Women’s Day but a continued institutional commitment to strengthening women’s health awareness in society.

Through “I Am Fearless: Her Health, Her Strength,” Wockhardt Hospitals reaffirmed its mission to extend healthcare beyond treatment — towards prevention, education, and empowerment.
