KIMSHEALTH introduces free health check-up package for Ambulance DriversThiruvananthapuram, October 18th, 2025: KIMSHEALTH Trivandrum honored the selfless service of ambulance drivers as part of World Trauma Day. A special health check-up package has also been introduced exclusively for ambulance drivers. Around 200 selected ambulance drivers from Thiruvananthapuram and neighboring areas will receive free health check up and doctor consultation. M.K. Sulfiquer, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime & Administration), Thiruvananthapuram City, launched the package at an event organized at KIMSHEALTH under the name ‘Wheels of Hope’.

While inaugurating the initiative, M.K. Sulfiquer stated that the role played by ambulance drivers is crucial in all situations requiring emergency medical assistance and that they often work long hours without adequate regard for their own health. He added that it is essential for ambulance drivers to maintain physical fitness to perform their duties safely and effectively.

Dr. M.I. Sahadulla, Chairman and Managing Director of KIMSHEALTH, in his presidential address, noted that this special health package has been introduced as a mark of respect for the invaluable service of ambulance drivers, who play a vital role in providing timely medical assistance to patients during emergencies.

The first invitation for the upcoming Trauma Update Conference 2025, Trauma Resus, was also released during the event. Dr. Shameem K.U, Consultant and Clinical Director of the Emergency Medicine Department at KIMSHEALTH, delivered the welcome address, and Dr.Muhammed Nazeer, Senior Consultant and Group Co-ordinator, Department of Orthopedics, proposed the vote of thanks.
