Drenched in Colors, Soaked in Nostalgia: Sony SAB Actors Relive Special Holi Moments

March 12, 2025: Holi is not just a festival of colors; it’s a celebration of joy, togetherness, and cherished memories. From playful childhood traditions to vibrant gatherings, the festival holds a special place in everyone’s heart. This Holi, the actors of Sony SAB – Aditya Redij, Priyanka Singh, Krishna Bharadwaj, Arav Chowdharry, and Naveen Pandita share their favorite Holi moments and speak about what makes this festival truly special.
Krishna Bharadwaj playing the role of Tenali Rama in Tenali Rama: “Holi and gujiyas go hand in hand! I remember once trying to make gujiyas at home, but they turned out more like samosas! My mother still teases me about it. On set, we often talk about our favorite Holi treats, and for me, nothing beats a plate of piping hot pakoras with a glass of thandai. As for pranks, I once mixed organic colors in a thandai batch for my friends—it took them hours to realize why their faces wouldn’t wash off!”
Aditya Redij playing the role of Krishnadevaraya in Tenali Rama: “Over the years, Holi has given me beautiful memories—some with family, some with friends, and now, the most special ones with my son. This time, while the colors fill the air with joy, my kitchen will be filled with flavors as I plan to whip up some nutritious alternatives to our festive favorites. Wishing everyone a Happy and Safe Holi—may it be as vibrant as your hearts and as healthy as your choices!”
Arav Chowdharry, playing the role of Kesari in Veer Hanuman: “Holi is the festival of colours, and it has been a special day for me since childhood. Back in Jaipur, we would start celebrating 10 to 15 days early, filling buckets with water balloons and playfully spraying cyclists with our pichkaris. It used to be so much fun. Even now, Holi is a joyful occasion. Some of the best celebrations were at Mr. Bachchan’s home, filled with colors, music, dance, and laughter. These days, I celebrate at home, enjoying my favorite Gujiya—though I skip Thandai, just to be safe! Holi is all about energy, togetherness, and vibrant colors. The music, from Balam Pichkari to Rang Barse, makes it even more special. We celebrate with organic gulal, keeping the tradition alive. Happy Holi to everyone!”
Priyanka Singh playing the role of Tirumalamba in Tenali Rama: “Holi has always been about food and fun in my family. My mother makes the best gujiyas, and no Holi is complete without them. I do try my hand at making them, but I think I’m better at eating them! I also love chaat, and I remember tricking a cousin once by making an extra spicy papdi chaat—his reaction was priceless! I also enjoy going out to play Holi, and dancing to the tunes of the music. One tip that I’d like to share with my fans for better skin care is to use herbal colors only.”
Naveen Pandita playing the role of Ashwin Patel in Pushpa Impossible: “I love playing with eco-friendly colors because, for me, Holi is all about colors! On set, I feel privileged that we’ve had Holi scenes for the past two years, allowing us to celebrate the festival while shooting. One of my most memorable childhood Holi moments was when my friends played a prank on me by throwing water balloons, completely catching me off guard!”
