New Delhi, Jan 03: The capital is set to resonate with the timeless sounds of Indian classical music as Gharana Festival 2026 is scheduled to be presented by Swaranjali under the aegis of SIVAR, in celebration of India’s 77th Republic Day. The festival will take place on January 25 at the C. D. Deshmukh Auditorium, India International Centre, and is expected to bring together eminent artists, scholars, students, and lovers of classical music.
The evening will begin with “Vandana”, an invocation by students of The Shriram Millennium School, Faridabad, setting a spiritual and contemplative tone for the festival.
Renowned vocalist Dr. Rindana Rahasya will present a vocal recital accompanied by Shri Jitendra Swain and Shri Mukesh Bhardwaj. This will be followed by a Sarod performance by Vidushi Chandrima Mazumdar, accompanied on tabla by Pt. Siddhartha Chatterjee, promising an engaging exploration of melody and rhythm.
Another vocal segment will feature Pt. Dipin Raj, with accompaniment by Pt. Susamoy Mishra, Pt. Bharat Bhushan Goswami, and Shri Mukesh Bhardwaj. The festival will also showcase a Group Vocal Presentation by the disciples of Shri Partha Sarathi Lenka, highlighting the enduring guru–shishya tradition.
A highlight of the evening will be a Tabla Solo by Pt. Siddhartha Chatterjee, accompanied by Shri Rajendra Prasad Banerjee. This will be followed by a Violin recital by Pt. Santosh Nahar, with Pt. Pradip Kumar Sarkar providing accompaniment.
Vocalist Pt. Ojesh Pratap Singh will present a recital accompanied by Shri Rajendra Prasad Banerjee and Shri Sagar Gujrati, while the concluding performance will feature a Santoor recital by Pt. Abhay Rustum Sopori, accompanied by Shri Chanchal Singh and Shri Ujith Uday Kumar.
The festival will be anchored by Smt. Pratima Sharma and supported by institutions including NTPC and IndiaHive. Gharana Festival 2026 aims to reaffirm its commitment to preserving and promoting India’s rich classical music heritage, offering New Delhi audiences an evening of artistic excellence and cultural celebration.
