The summit will focus on the theme “Odisha’s Shri Anna and Agricultural Heritage”, offering a platform for experts and industry leaders to discuss the state’s sustainable farming techniques, as well as the preservation and promotion of indigenous food crops. Discussions will cover the historical significance of these practices and how they contribute to both local and global food systems.
A central aspect of the event will be the promotion of Shri Anna, an ancient grain that has played a vital role in Odisha’s agricultural history. These grains are not only highly nutritious but also environmentally sustainable, making them a key focus for future agricultural initiatives aimed at enhancing global food security.
Moreover, the summit will address the revival of forgotten foods—traditional dishes and cooking methods that have been passed down through generations. These foods are often nutrient-rich and adapted to local conditions, offering valuable insights into sustainable and healthy food practices. The event will highlight the importance of rediscovering these foods and integrating them into modern culinary practices.
