Mumbai, 31 October 2025: Pokémon is set to make an appearance at Techfest, IIT Bombay, Asia’s largest science and technology festival, taking place from 22 to 24 December 2025. As a prelude to the highly anticipated event, a Pokémon mini marathon was held on Sunday, 26 October, at Hiranandani, near the IIT Bombay campus, bringing together a vibrant community of students, fitness enthusiasts and Pokémon fans.
The 4 km run saw active participation from people of all ages. Participants lined up to receive a welcome kit containing a bright yellow Pokémon Run t-shirt and Pikachu sun visor. After the run, they received a Pokémon-themed medal, booklet, stickers and a refreshing drink at the finishing point. Runners also enjoyed posing at photo booths decorated with colourful illustrations of Pokémon characters, ensuring a delightful start to their Sunday morning.
Adding to the fun, Pokémon GO players took part in a special Egg Hatch event. Players placed an Egg in an in-game Incubator before the run. Upon completion of the run, players were able to redeem Pokémon rewards at the Pokémon GO booth, making the event a perfect blend of physical activity and digital adventure.
Looking ahead to Techfest, IIT Bombay 2025, Pokémon has planned an array of engaging experiences for people of all ages. Visitors can look forward to a Pikachu parade, Pikachu meet and greet, Pokémon photo booth, exciting activities at the Pokémon GO booth, as well as a range of freebies and interactive experiences celebrating the world of Pokémon.
With its unique mix of fun, entertainment, and technology, Pokémon’s participation at Techfest, IIT Bombay 2025 promises to be one of the festival’s most memorable attractions.
