The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, was presented with the ‘City Key of Honour’ by the Mayor of Lisbon at a special ceremony held at the City Hall.
In her address, President Murmu expressed her gratitude to the Mayor and the people of Lisbon for the warm gesture. She praised Lisbon for its open-mindedness, cultural richness, and respect for diversity. Highlighting Lisbon’s leadership in technological innovation, digital public infrastructure, and digital transition, she emphasized the potential for deeper cooperation between India and Portugal in these fields.
