Bengaluru, Mar 27: Bengaluru Art Weekend 2026 (BAW), a nine-day city-wide celebration of art, culture, and creative dialogue, has announced its partnership with RMZ Foundation for the opening night of this year’s edition. Scheduled for March 28, the event will take place at RMZ Ecoworld, bringing together artists, collectors, and cultural practitioners for an evening of conversation, exchange, and discovery.

Presented by Svasa Life and Usual Suspects, the collaboration reflects a shared vision of integrating art into everyday spaces—beyond galleries and into workplaces, public environments, and community settings.
The opening night is centred on exploring the evolving landscape of contemporary Indian art, with a focus on amplifying emerging voices and fostering meaningful dialogue between creators and audiences. The initiative underscores a commitment to making art more accessible and inclusive, positioning it as a vital part of urban life.
The evening will begin with a curated walkthrough of the RMZ Foundation’s art collection at Ecoworld, led by its curatorial team. Designed as an intimate and reflective experience, the walkthrough will allow guests to engage directly with the materials, ideas, and processes shaping contemporary artistic practices.
This will be followed by a panel discussion titled “Where Contemporary Art Happens Now”, featuring prominent voices including Rakhee Shenoy, Devika Sundar, Nidhi Mariam Jacob, Sandilya Theurkauf, and Vivek Radhakrishnan. The discussion will examine the realities of practicing, presenting, and sustaining art in India today.
The evening will conclude with a creatives’ mixer, offering an informal setting for artists, collectors, and guests to connect, exchange ideas, and build new collaborations within the city’s vibrant cultural ecosystem.
Through this partnership, Bengaluru Art Weekend and RMZ Foundation reaffirm their belief that art, when woven into public and shared spaces, has the power to enrich communities, spark dialogue, and shape a more inclusive cultural future.
