New Delhi – Jan 16 – Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), a Navratna CPSU under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Champion of Change’ CSR Award at the 17th CSR Leadership Summit 2026, held at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi.
The award recognises RVNL’s consistent and high-impact Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, reflecting the organisation’s commitment to inclusive growth, community development and sustainable nation-building, alongside its core infrastructure mandate.

The award takes into account RVNL’s CSR initiatives, especially in Aspirational Districts like Chhattisgarh’s Narainpur district, part of the remote Abujhmarh region. Home to the primitive tribal Madiya community, this area has long remained geographically inaccessible due to difficult terrain and socio-economically challenged conditions due to Left Wing Extremism. RVNL’s efforts in such difficult regions reflect its commitment to inclusive development and nation-building.
The award and certificate were presented by Mr. Rusen Kumar, Founder and Managing Editor of India CSR Network (indiacsr.in)—a leading digital platform focused on CSR and sustainability. The summit was organised by India CSR Network, headquartered in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh.
On behalf of RVNL, Shri Anil Kumar Mahato, Coordinator (CSR), RVNL, received the award during the ceremony.
CMD, RVNL, Shri Saleem Ahmad, said: “This recognition reinforces RVNL’s conviction that infrastructure growth must be accompanied by meaningful social responsibility. Our CSR initiatives are designed to create long-term value for communities, particularly in project-affected and underserved areas, while aligning with national development priorities.”
