Cannes, 23 May 2024: Sonam C Chhabra, fashion and mental health content creator renowned for her captivating performance in Amazon Prime’s hit series ‘Made in Heaven’ and her charismatic emceeing at prestigious events such as the Filmfare Awards and India Fashion Awards, has added another feather to her cap. Sonam graced the iconic red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival with her presence exuding elegance and glamour.
Sonam adorned a saree from designer Karan Torani’s latest collection. This Monday, she attended the screening of Ali Abbasi’s ‘The Apprentice’ alongside Bella Hadid, Cate Blanchett and jury member Nadine Labaki which received a 11-minute post screening standing ovation.
The choice of saree by Sonam C Chhabra is an ode to this milestone year at the Cannes film festival as it was not only her debut year at the Cannes Red Carpet but also the year that Bharat Pavillion by the Indian Government is being featured at the celebrated festival. It gave Sonam an opportunity to participate in the Bharat Pavilion, which brought together Indians from across the globe. It is the year India shone the brightest at the long running renowned film festival.
