New Delhi, Apr 1: The Wedding Company announced its partnership with Shagun Vivah Utsav 2026, a Grand Mass Wedding initiative in Delhi supporting safe and dignified marriages for women from economically vulnerable backgrounds. The ceremony was held at The Zora Convention Center, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, featuring traditional rituals including varmala, pheras, and vidaai.

The event was attended by Ram Nath Kovind, former President of India, Rekha Gupta, Chief Minister of Delhi, and Pujya Shri Swami Avdheshanand Giri Ji Maharaj.
This year, 51 women participated in the ceremony. As an execution partner, The Wedding Company led wedding planning of the event, including key aspects of photography for all couples, documentary coverage, selfie booths, guest arrangement and comforter distributions. The company also ensured smooth coordination across rituals, stage flow, guest seating, and overall timelines, leading to a well-organised wedding experience for every bride.
Shagun Vivah Utsav is part of the Shagun Initiative by Ladli Foundation Trust, aimed at addressing financial and social challenges around marriage, including dowry pressures. Since its inception in 2012, when 44 couples were married in Gurgaon, the initiative has supported over 2,067 women through safe, dignified community weddings.
Devendra Shastri, Founder, Laadli Foundation, shared
“We are grateful to The Wedding Company for supporting us in the planning and execution of this initiative and for ensuring that every wedding was conducted with dignity and care. Our work does not end with the wedding ceremony; we are also committed to supporting the brides through skill development and opportunities that help them build independent and dignified lives”
A key feature of the programme is its safety-first approach, including police verification of grooms to prevent fraud and exploitation, helping ensure secure and respectful marriages for participating women.
Speaking about the initiative, Pawan Gupta, CEO of The Wedding Company, said
“Shagun Vivah Utsav represents dignity, responsibility, and community coming together for meaningful beginnings. At The Wedding Company, our goal is to bring structure and professionalism to weddings of every scale, ensuring every couple experiences a seamless, dignified, and memorable celebration. Through this partnership, we enabled families to focus on the moment while we ensured smooth execution”
The Wedding Company added that such initiatives align with its vision of making professionally managed weddings more accessible and seamless. With expertise across planning, logistics, vendor and guest management, and on-ground execution, the company aims to deliver well-coordinated weddings at every scale while supporting meaningful community initiatives.
Shagun Vivah Utsav 2026 is convened by Avdheshan G Mission, Ladli Foundation Trust, and Rashi Entertainment. The initiative focuses on service, compassion, and post-marriage educational and entrepreneurship support, with a broader goal of setting a benchmark for dignity, safety, and celebration in community weddings.
