Mumbai, Feb 26: The School of FutureTech’s Research and Development Club successfully organized an engaging technical workshop titled “Think Research Implement” on 13th February 2026 at the Mini Auditorium. The event provided students with an opportunity to delve into cutting-edge advancements in Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, fostering both academic insight and practical skills.
The workshop was conducted under the expert guidance of Faculty Coordinators Vinaya Ma’am and Gaurav Sir, with Student Lead Saurabh Yadav orchestrating the event’s smooth execution. The highlight of the session was the presence of Dr. Pranita Mahajan as the Guest Speaker, who led students through an intensive, hands-on exploration of advanced RAG methodologies.
During the session, students learned how to build an advanced RAG pipeline, effectively bridging the gap between academic research and real-world implementation. Participants were introduced to running large language models locally using Ollama, integrating models within Google Colab, and intelligently processing academic research documents. The workshop also covered advanced techniques such as Multi-Query Expansion and Reranking, enabling students to convert static PDFs into searchable, AI-powered knowledge bases.
