Telangana’s largest textile retail mart, Maangalya Shopping Mall, on an expansion spree!

the largest textile retail mart, in Telangana, with shopping space spread across 1,35,000 lakh sqft.;  announced its aggressive expansion plans. The over seven decade old Maangalya Shopping Mall, which began its foray in 1942 with a small outlet, has grown into a Rs 300 cr., textile conglomerate, in the Telangana region.

The group which launched its first multi brand store at Hanamkonda in 2012, expanded by opening second outlet at Karimnagar in 2015 and the third store at Siddipet in 2018. This year they forayed into Hyderabad with the Madinaguda store in January, followed by Boduppal outlet in March. The group is all set to launch its sixth store spread over 40,000 sqft., at Vanasthalipuram later this month. The group has laid a roadmap to touch 2,00,000 lakh sft., shopping space by this calendar year end.  As part of this grand plan, the new destinations in pipe line for Maangalya Shopping Mall are Kukatpally and A. S. Rao Nagar. In the next couple of years the group will spread its network to other prominent locations in the twin cities and across several towns in Telangana. We are also open to launching  Maangalya Shopping Mall outside Telangana state, if we see potential, say Mr. Kasam Namashivaya.

The Swayamvar, an exclusive men’s ethnic wear brand from Maangalya Shopping Mall, has 25 stores across Telangana and will touch the 100 stores mark in two years. We have 10 Swayamvar stores in Hyderabad, besides presence in Pune, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Vizag, Vijayawada, Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Khammam, says Mr. Kasam Namashivaya, we also have plans to open outlets in Bhubhaneshwar and Berhampore in Orissa and different places in Bihar, he added. The formal and casual shirts brand for men – LIQUIDS, has touched the milestone of 50,000 units per month and will gain further impetus with the chain expanding its network.

Maangalya Shopping Mall, was founded by Mr. PN Murthy, in 1942 along with its Chairman Mr. Kasam Namashivaya. Directors Mr. Kasam Shivaprasad and Mr. Pulluru Arun, later joined the business and contributed towards strengthening the group and laying a firm foundation for making its unique mark in the textile business in this part of the country.
