Bhubaneswar: Odisha will open seven new nursing colleges in the 2026–27 academic session, each with an intake capacity of about 60 students.
The initiative is aimed at addressing the shortage of healthcare professionals and strengthening medical infrastructure in the state. Officials said the new institutions are expected to increase the availability of trained nurses for both government and private healthcare facilities across Odisha.
