HLL Wins 2025 State Industrial Safety Awards

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 5 : HLL Lifecare Limited a Mini Ratna public sector enterprise under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, has won the State Industrial Safety Awards for the year 2025, instituted by the State Department of Factories and Boilers.

HLL Wins 2025 State Industrial Safety Awards

 The awards were conferred on HLL’s manufacturing units at Peroorkkada and Akkulam. The Peroorkkada factory secured the award in the category of large-scale industrial units employing more than 500 workers, while the Akkulam factory won in the category of units employing between 101 and 250 workers.

 
The awards were received by V. Kuttappan Pillai, Senior Vice-President HLL; Smitha L. G., Unit Chief, Peroorkkada Factory; and Mahesh Kumar P. R., Unit Chief  Akkulam Factory, from V. Sivankutty, Minister for General Education and Labour, at a function held here on Wednesday.
 
The awards recognise the excellence in adhering to safety standards maintained by the Peroorkkada unit, which manufactures a range of condoms, and the Akkulam factory, which produces blood bags and other advanced medical devices. The awards have been instituted with the objective of strengthening safety mechanisms in industrial establishments and ensuring the safety and well-being of workers across the State.
