Gurugram, Apr 29: The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences welcomes Jhol, the Michelin Guide-recognised coastal Indian restaurant from Bangkok, to Diya for an exclusive dinner showcase on 29th and 30th May 2026.
For two evenings, guests will experience Jhol in its entirety; a kitchen defined by precision and a menu that maps India’s vast coastline across nine states and one Union Territory, from Gujarat and the Konkan coast to Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and West Bengal.
Chef Shreesha Rao, Chef De Cuisine at Jhol, leads the showcase. Hailing from Bangalore, India, with years of culinary mastery, Chef Rao curates coastal Indian flavours with a contemporary sensibility; where technique meets instinct, and each dish arrives considered, not constructed.
“The coastline of India tells countless stories through its food; stories of migration, memory, and adaptation. We are delighted to welcome JHOL as it brings its distinctive culinary mastery to Diya. This collaboration introduces a compelling new narrative, where the legacy of Diya is complemented by coastal culinary artistry, offering a refined contrast in flavour, technique, and storytelling.” mentioned, Chef Abhishek Gupta, Executive Chef, The Leela Ambience Gurugram.
The experience will be available through a specially curated seven-course tasting menu, designed to offer a considered exploration of the menu’s breadth, with equal attention given to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian expressions of the cuisine. Complementing this epicurean journey is a selection of Diya’s signature Indian-inspired cocktails, where premium spirits are elevated with house-made infusions and fresh, seasonal ingredients, thoughtfully paired to enhance each course.
Jhol has been consecutively recognised by the Michelin Guide from 2023 through 2026, alongside placements on Travel & Leisure’s Best Restaurants Thailand 2024, Asia’s Top 80, and Thailand’s Favourite Restaurants list. The Bangkok kitchen has also held its standing on BK Top Tables for three successive years, reflecting its continued recognition for excellence.
Jhol’s takeover at Diya brings the experience into one of The Leela Ambience Gurugram Hotel & Residences’s most refined dining spaces. Diya lends its signature sense of precise hospitality to the showcase, allowing the cuisine to unfold with depth.
