BPCL Reports Rise in Russian Crude Imports to 41 pc, Supply Secured Until July

New Delhi, May 20: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has reported that imports of Russian crude have risen to 41% of its total crude oil supply, with deliveries secured through July. The move ensures a stable supply of crude amid global market uncertainties.

BPCL officials stated that strategic planning and long-term contracts have allowed the company to maintain consistent refinery operations while navigating international supply challenges. This approach helps India meet its energy needs reliably and supports domestic fuel availability.

Industry analysts note that securing crude supplies in advance is critical as global oil markets remain volatile, and sourcing from multiple suppliers ensures energy security for the country.
