New Delhi, June 12: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday said that India’s women-led development model is playing a transformative role in advancing empowerment and strengthening the vision of Nari Shakti across the country.
He said the government’s focus on inclusive growth has placed women at the centre of policymaking and implementation, enabling greater participation in economic, social, and governance processes.
According to the statement, various initiatives promoting financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, skill development, and self-help group networks have significantly expanded opportunities for women, particularly in rural and semi-urban areas.
The Home Minister highlighted that women’s participation in development programmes is contributing to community-level transformation and helping build a more equitable and self-reliant society.
He added that the women-led development approach reflects a broader national commitment to ensuring that growth is inclusive, sustainable, and rooted in grassroots empowerment.
