Focus on India-UAE Economic Cooperation
A key highlight of the visit was Majhi’s meeting with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, where both sides discussed avenues to deepen trade and investment cooperation.
During the discussions, the Chief Minister showcased Odisha’s improving ease of doing business, robust industrial infrastructure and sector-specific opportunities, while inviting UAE investors to participate in the state’s aluminium ecosystem and downstream manufacturing industries.

Majhi also held talks with Shyam Kapoor, President and CEO of the Sharaf Group, on potential business collaborations in Odisha. During the meeting, Kapoor expressed interest in investing in the state, signalling confidence in its evolving industrial ecosystem.
Emerging Sectors in the Spotlight
Speaking on Odisha’s long-term growth prospects, the Chief Minister said the state is witnessing rising opportunities in semiconductors, data centres, renewable energy, green hydrogen, green ammonia, pharmaceuticals, textiles and apparel.
He noted that Odisha has already signed investment agreements worth nearly Rs 22 lakh crore, with several projects under implementation, others in the pipeline, and more expected to be launched in the coming months.
