New Delhi, 11 Sept 2026: As India strengthens security across critical infrastructure, borders, data centres, transportation networks, industrial facilities, utilities and strategic assets, the country’s perimeter security ecosystem is rapidly moving towards smarter, integrated and increasingly indigenous technologies.
Against this backdrop, INDIA FENCE EXPO (IFE) 2026, India’s premier for integrated perimeter protection, opened today at Yashobhoomi (IICC), Dwarka, New Delhi, bringing together the technologies, companies and stakeholders shaping the next phase of perimeter protection in India.
The 4th edition, being held from 10–12 September 2026, was inaugurated by Dr. B. K. Das, Director General, Electronics & Communication Systems, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India, as Chief Guest.
Addressing the industry at the exhibition, Dr. B. K. Das, Director General, Electronics & Communication Systems, DRDO, said, “If we are secure, we can grow, and security is a prime concern. The future is moving towards electronic and increasingly invisible security, driven by spectrum dominance, space-based systems, networked environments and artificial intelligence. Looking ten years ahead, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) will play an increasingly important role. Platforms like INDIA FENCE EXPO bring industry, startups and technology stakeholders together to discuss today’s solutions and the technologies needed for the future. DRDO has done considerable work in anti-drone and surveillance systems, and I am confident industry will take these technologies forward.”
FROM FENCING TO INTELLIGENT PERIMETER SECURITY
India’s perimeter security landscape is undergoing a significant transformation. Growing investments across critical infrastructure, data centres, transportation, industrial facilities, utilities and strategic assets are driving demand beyond standalone physical barriers towards integrated systems combining fencing, intrusion detection, surveillance, access control and intelligent monitoring.
Reflecting this shift, INDIA FENCE EXPO 2026 is showcasing solutions across fencing systems and machinery, gates, vehicle access barriers, bollards, access control, Perimeter Intrusion Detection Systems (PIDS), electronic surveillance, infrastructure lighting, and drone deployment, detection and defence technologies.
Leading companies including A1 Fence Products Company Pvt Ltd, Magal Security Systems India Ltd, Secure Fencing and Automation, Nirmal Wires, Tata Wiron, Aditya Infotech Ltd. (CP PLUS), MV Fence and Camwell, among many others, are showcasing technologies addressing evolving perimeter security requirements.
INDIA’S PERIMETER SECURITY INDUSTRY UNDER THE LENS
An industry report on India’s perimeter security landscape was launched during the event, focusing on the market opportunity, growth drivers, emerging demand and future opportunities shaping the sector, providing insights into the changing security landscape and the potential for technology and manufacturing growth in India.
Sonia Prashar, Managing Director and Chairperson of the Board, NuernbergMesse India, said, “Security is no longer an afterthought in how we plan our infrastructure – it is foundational. As India invests across critical and strategic infrastructure, perimeter protection is evolving from physical barriers towards integrated, intelligent solutions. Through INDIA FENCE EXPO and this industry report, we aim to bring the ecosystem together, provide greater market direction and support the industry’s next phase of growth.”
INDUSTRY TALKS: CONVERSATIONS THAT MATTER
Beyond the exhibition floor, INDIA FENCE EXPO 2026 – Industry Talks is bringing together industry specialists, technology providers and end-users for focused discussions around some of the most pressing issues shaping the sector.
The program covers:
- Integrated Perimeter Security: From Fencing to Full-Spectrum Situational Awareness
- Securing Critical & Green Infrastructure: Perimeter Protection for Solar Parks, Data Centres, Smart Cities and Ports
- Atmanirbhar Bharat in Perimeter Security: Building India’s Indigenous Manufacturing & Technology Base
- Counter-Drone & Airspace Security: Detection, Interdiction and Policy for India’s Borders and Critical Sites
The discussions address evolving security requirements, technology integration, emerging threats and the development of India’s indigenous perimeter security ecosystem.
CONNECTING TECHNOLOGY WITH REAL-WORLD SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
INDIA FENCE EXPO 2026 is connecting solution providers with stakeholders from defence and border security, airports and railways, government and police, real estate and smart cities, industrial infrastructure, highways, consultants and contractors.
The 2026 edition is also witnessing participation from representatives of major government border and security agencies, alongside prominent private-sector organisations, infrastructure owners, security professionals and key decision-makers.
Visitors can experience technologies in action at the Live Security Challenge Zone, featuring demonstrations of the strength, durability and effectiveness of fencing and perimeter security solutions in real-world scenarios.
INDIA FENCE EXPO 2026 is being held concurrently with Fire Safe Build India (FSBI) and Integrated Building Services India (IBSI), bringing together complementary areas of security, fire safety and building infrastructure.
