Bharat Taxi to Launch in Jaipur in Early June, Empowering Drivers and Commuters

Jaipur, May 21: The cooperative taxi service Bharat Taxi is set to launch in Jaipur in the first week of June. Already operating in cities like Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Chandigarh, the service aims to provide safe, affordable transportation for commuters while empowering drivers.

Rajasthan Minister of State for Cooperation, Gautam Kumar Dak, said the service is India’s first driver-owned cooperative taxi model, ensuring that drivers benefit directly from their work. The service will focus on ownership, security, respect, and fair profit-sharing, removing hidden charges and arbitrary practices seen in private taxi services.

Drivers attending the “Bharat Taxi Dialogue” program in Jaipur welcomed the initiative, saying it will improve their earnings and economic stability. The cooperative model ensures that profits stay within the country and gives drivers more control over their work.

The launch of Bharat Taxi in Jaipur marks a step forward in providing reliable transport for the public while supporting the livelihoods of taxi drivers in the state.
