Aug 26: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has credited the August pension to 4,40,901 pensioners across Kerala ahead of Onam, providing timely financial support to beneficiaries during the festival season.
According to the EPFO, the pension amount has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of eligible pensioners through the organisation’s Centralized Pension Payment System (CPPS).
The system enables pension payments to be processed electronically and credited directly to beneficiaries, helping make the process quicker and more convenient.
The timely release of the pension is expected to provide additional support to pensioners as they prepare for Onam and manage their household and festival expenses.
The payment covers pensioners under the Kerala Zone for the month of August. The initiative also reflects EPFO’s efforts to improve the delivery of pension services through digital payment systems.
With the pension reaching more than four lakh beneficiaries ahead of the festival, the move is expected to bring financial relief to pensioner families across the state.
