Indian Stock Market Shows Signs of Recovery

8th April 2025, Mumbai: Following a sharp decline in the Indian stock market yesterday, investors found some relief today as major indices showed signs of recovery. The Sensex and Nifty both increased by 1.5% on Wednesday, indicating a potential rebound.

The BSE Sensex gained 1,217.78 points, reaching 74,355.68, while the NSE Nifty50 rose by 380.50 points, settling at 22,542.10. This recovery follows a significant drop on Tuesday, which had caused concerns among investors.

Market experts, including Dr. V.K. Vijaykumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Financial Services, have assured that India’s macroeconomic conditions remain stable. He forecasts a 6% growth in the fiscal year 2026, which has helped boost investor confidence.

The stock market’s positive movement today comes as sectors like technology and finance began to recover. Despite ongoing global uncertainties, including changes in U.S. tax policies, which have created fluctuations in global markets, the Indian stock market has shown resilience.

Investors are hopeful that this upward trend will continue in the coming days.
