India’s First Exclusive IGBC Green Property Show 2023 was a grand successHyderabad: The Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), a part of the CII, with the support of the Government of Telangana, received a great response to the first exclusive IGBC Green Property Show at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. India’s First Exclusive IGBC Green Property Show from 28th – 30th July 2023. The closing ceremony for the event was held in the presence of Mr. Ganapathi Reddy, Engineer-in-Chief, Roads & Buildings Department, Mr. Nawab Mir Nasir Ali Khan, Honorary Consul of Republic of Kazakhstan, Sri C. Shekar Reddy, Chairman CII Telangana, and Chairman IGBC, Hyderabad Chapter along with Mr. Rajasekhar Reddy, Gen Secretary, CREDAI Hyderabad, Mr . G.Srinivasa Murthy, Co-Chairman, IGBC Hyderabad Chapter, Mr. K.S. Venkatagiri, Executive Director, IGBC real estate industry leaders, architects, and interior designers, Green product manufacturers, and other stakeholders.

The IGBC Green Property Show 2023 was a three-day event held at Hitex Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad. The event saw a massive footfall of over 25,000 visitors.

The 1st edition of IGBC Green Property Show – India’s first-of-its-kind event aimed at sensitizing and motivating prospective buyers to invest in a greener future by choosing IGBC Certified or Pre-Certified Green Homes, Technologies & services over conventional buildings. The Government of Telangana is the Partner State for this event, affirming its commitment to sustainability. This Expo is showcasing Green Residential/ homes villas and gated communities, Products & services. With over 75+ exhibitors spread in an expo space of over 4,200 sq m, the Green Property show brings property developers, relevant product manufacturers, buyers, sustainable developers, investors together who are inclined to purchase properties and products that are sustainable. The expo has multiple benefits for the people for a lifetime health and happiness.

Addressing the gathering at the Valedictory ceremony, Mr. Ganapathi Reddy, Engineer- in – chief, Roads, and Buildings Department, Government of Telangana highlighted the commitment of the government to promote the adoption of Green Building concepts in all the government buildings. He also urged all the developers to consider the adoption of Green home concepts in their designs as they do not cost much but have a significant impact in conserving finite resources for the next generation.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri C. Shekar ReddyChairman, of CII Telangana & Chairman, of IGBC Hyderabad Chapter said, “The Green Property Show is the first of its kind initiative to promote sustainable living. The property show has brought together Green Certified and Pre-Certified Projects by the Indian Green Building Council, along with sustainable products, making it easy for developers to connect with the environment-conscious property buyer in India. We have received very good footfalls for the last 3 days. We wish we can create a positive inclination towards IGBC-rated green buildings amongst the home buyers, making more builders and designers work towards incorporating Green concepts in their designs and helping move towards the net zero goals. Encouraged by the response to the Green Property show in Hyderabad, IGBC is planning to host similar shows across other major cities in India.”

Sri G. Srinivasa Murthy, Co-Chairman of IGBC, Hyderabad Chapter stated that “IGBC Green Property Show is helping sensitize people towards sustainable and eco-friendly living spaces.
