Mumbai, October 01, 2026: Equirus today announced that Nitesh Arora, Managing Partner – Equirus Family Office, will take charge of the Family Office business. With over three decades of experience across wealth management, investment advisory, asset allocation and advising high-net-worth individuals and families, Nitesh will lead the business as it enters its next phase of growth.
Nitesh takes on the leadership of the business as the nature of Indian wealth evolves. The rise of first-generation wealth, entrepreneurial wealth and increasingly multi-generational families is creating more complex requirements around how wealth is invested, structured, protected and transitioned. Equirus Family Office works with a diverse set of HNIs and families, including entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals, with needs shaped by the nature and source of their wealth. Their portfolios and interests increasingly span geographies, currencies and asset classes. This diversity has shaped the Equirus Family Office proposition.
Under Nitesh’s leadership, the business will continue to build on its established multi-family office proposition, offering bespoke, research-led solutions that address the increasingly complex and individual needs of families. Its offering spans wealth management and asset allocation, strategic tax planning and structuring, estate planning and legal services, business advisory, risk management, real estate, lending and debt restructuring, philanthropy and record management.
A key part of this proposition is the ability to look beyond individual asset classes and geographies. Equirus Family Office works with families across domestic and international markets, helping them evaluate global investment opportunities and access investment managers, bankers and brokers across geographies as part of a broader portfolio strategy. This global orientation is complemented by a deep understanding of the specific needs of Indian families and their wealth. The business seeks to bring the sophistication of global family-office practices together with a deep understanding of Indian families and their wealth.
The Family Office also draws on the broader Equirus ecosystem capabilities and perspectives across Investment Banking, Institutional Equities, Wealth Management, Portfolio Management Services, Lending Solutions and other businesses within the Group.
Commenting on his new role, Nitesh Arora, Managing Partner – Equirus Family Office, said, “The nature of wealth in India is changing, and the expectations from a family office are changing with it. We are seeing families with increasingly diverse sources of wealth, more complex portfolios and a greater need to think across investments, businesses, geographies and generations. The role of a family office is therefore not simply to manage a portfolio, but to bring context, coordination and perspective to the decisions that shape a family’s wealth over the long term. At Equirus Family Office, we want to build on this understanding to develop bespoke solutions that are truly relevant to each family.”
Amit Bivalkar, Head – Equirus Wealth, said, “India’s wealth landscape is becoming increasingly sophisticated, with families and entrepreneurs looking beyond traditional investment management towards more integrated advice spanning their investments, businesses and broader wealth needs. At Equirus Wealth, our focus has been on building a differentiated approach that combines investment expertise with a deeper understanding of each client’s broader wealth requirements. Equirus Family Office builds on this foundation by bringing together specialised capabilities and a more holistic approach for families as their wealth, businesses and aspirations evolve. Nitesh’s experience will further strengthen our ability to work with families through these increasingly complex decisions.”
Nitesh has been associated with Equirus since 2025, following the merger of Credence Family Office with Equirus Wealth. At Credence, which he co-founded, he served as Executive Director and Practice Head before taking on the role of Managing Partner and was closely involved in building the business and advising HNI clients on their evolving wealth-management and family-office requirements. Prior to Credence, Nitesh was among the early members of the Kotak Wealth Management team and was subsequently associated with Barclays Wealth Management and Julius Baer in India. He has also co-founded a company in the construct-and-lease-back space, which is now part of his family business.
