Narayana Schools Celebrate National Sporting Glory with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Wins Across Skating and MMA

Narayana Schools proudly celebrate the exceptional achievements of two young champions who have brought national recognition to the institution through their outstanding performances in skating and mixed martial arts at prestigious national-level championships. These accomplishments reflect Narayana’s continued commitment to nurturing excellence beyond academics and empowering students to shine across diverse disciplines.

Purnitaa, a Class V student of Narayana Schools, Medavakkam (Chennai), delivered an exceptional performance at the 3rd India Skate Games 2026, organised by the Roller Skating Federation of India in Delhi. Competing in the Under-11 Girls category against over 1,000 skaters from 23 states, she showcased remarkable speed, balance, and determination to clinch a Gold Medal in the 500-metre Rink Race, a Silver Medal in the 1-Lap Road event, and a Bronze Medal in the 1000-metre Rink Race.

Her outstanding three-medal feat at the national level marks a significant milestone in her sporting journey and stands as a testament to her discipline, perseverance, and passion for the sport.

In another proud achievement, S.S. Thejhaswin, a Class X student of Narayana Schools, Vepery (Chennai), secured the Gold Medal in the Under-16 category at the National-Level Mixed Martial Arts Championship held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Organised by the Mixed Martial Arts Sports Federation of India, a government-recognised body, the championship witnessed participation from over 80 competitors. Thejhaswin’s commanding performance in the single category showcased his strength, focus, and competitive excellence, earning him the top podium finish and national acclaim.

Speaking on these accomplishments, Ms. Sharani Ponguru, Director of Narayana Educational Institutions, shared: “These achievements are a proud reflection of the discipline, resilience, and determination our students bring to every pursuit.
