CM Fadnavis stresses need for faster, high-quality healthcare delivery

May 19: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stressed the need to improve both the quality and speed of healthcare delivery, saying citizens should have access to efficient and reliable medical services without delays.

Addressing a public programme, Fadnavis said strengthening the healthcare system remains a key priority for the state government. He emphasised that hospitals and medical institutions must focus not only on advanced treatment but also on ensuring timely care for patients.

The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of modern infrastructure, digital healthcare systems, and better coordination across departments to make medical services more accessible and effective. He also underlined the need to expand healthcare facilities in rural and semi-urban regions so that people outside major cities receive equal standards of treatment.

Fadnavis said the government is working towards creating a healthcare ecosystem that is patient-centric, transparent, and technology-driven. He added that reducing waiting times and improving service quality would play a major role in strengthening public trust in the healthcare sector.

The remarks come as Maharashtra continues to invest in upgrading hospitals, expanding medical education, and improving emergency healthcare services across the state.
