Manipal Hospital Gurugram Hosts CPR Awareness Session on Emergency Medicine Day

Gurugram,  May 28: On the occasion of Emergency Medicine Day, Manipal Hospital Gurugram organised a CPR Awareness Session followed by a Free Health Check Camp at Pro Ultimate Gym, Sector-10, Palam Vihar, Gurugram. With cardiac emergencies and sudden medical incidents continuing to rise, the initiative highlighted the importance of the “golden hour” during medical emergencies, especially cardiac arrest, to educate citizens on how timely CPR can play a life-saving role before advanced medical care becomes available.

Over 100 attendees participated in the awareness programme and health camp conducted by the medical team from Manipal Hospital Gurugram. The session included hands-on CPR demonstrations, expert guidance on recognising emergency warning signs, and interactive discussions on the importance of quick response during medical emergencies. Participants also benefited from free health screenings, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar monitoring, BMI assessment, and general physician consultations aimed at encouraging preventive health monitoring and early detection of common health concerns.

Dr. Prasanthi Ganji, HOD – Emergency Medicine, Manipal Hospital, Gurugram, said,

“Medical emergencies can occur anytime and anywhere, and immediate response during the first few minutes can save lives. In cases of sudden cardiac arrest, immediate CPR provided during the ‘golden hour’ can significantly improve survival chances while reducing the risk of serious complications before professional medical help arrives.”

Manipal Hospital Gurugram continues to strengthen community outreach programmes, awareness drives, and health camps as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting timely intervention, preventive care, and healthier communities.
