Cabinet Approves INR 1,235 Crore Housing Project in Amaravati

June 10: The Union Cabinet has approved a ₹1,235 crore housing project in Amaravati, the new capital region of Andhra Pradesh, aimed at strengthening urban infrastructure and supporting planned city development.

The project is expected to enhance housing availability and improve living standards in the capital region by developing modern residential infrastructure for various income groups. Officials said the initiative aligns with the broader vision of building a well-planned, sustainable, and future-ready capital city.

The development will also support associated infrastructure growth, including connectivity, civic amenities, and urban services, contributing to the long-term expansion of Amaravati as an administrative and economic hub.
