Corrected Textbooks to Be Supplied to Teachers Soon: Minister

Bhubaneswar (UDN): The Odisha government will soon provide corrected versions of school textbooks to teachers after errors were identified in some of the recently published editions, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond has said.

The Minister said the revised textbooks, incorporating necessary corrections, are being prepared and will be distributed to teachers at the earliest. He assured that the discrepancies identified in the textbooks would be rectified to ensure that students receive accurate and error-free educational material.

Addressing concerns over the printing mistakes, Gond said the government has taken the issue seriously and has initiated corrective measures. Teachers will be supplied with the corrected copies to facilitate effective classroom teaching until the revised textbooks are made available to students, wherever required.

The Minister reiterated the government’s commitment to maintaining high standards in school education and ensuring the quality and accuracy of textbooks prescribed for students. He also said steps would be taken to strengthen the review and proofreading process to prevent such errors in future editions.

The School and Mass Education Department is expected to complete the distribution of the corrected textbooks in the coming days.
