Kaleshwaram, May 21: The 12-day Saraswati Antya Pushkaralu began today at Kaleshwaram in Jayashankar Bhupalapally district, Telangana. The holy festival, which celebrates the sacred river goddess Saraswati, opened with the first ceremonial dip taken by Kanchi Math Pontiff, Sri Shankar Vijayendra Saraswati.
The Pushkaralu, observed once every 12 years, attracts devotees from across the state and the country who participate in ritual baths, prayers, and cultural events along the riverbanks.
