May 19: Delhi-NCR is bracing for another spell of scorching weather, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a yellow alert for the next three days as temperatures continue to climb across the region.

Several parts of the capital have already recorded temperatures above 43°C, and the mercury is expected to rise further in the coming days. Hot winds and harsh daytime conditions are likely to make outdoor movement difficult, especially during peak afternoon hours.

Weather officials have warned that heatwave conditions may persist through the week, with limited chances of immediate relief. Residents have been advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sun exposure, and take necessary precautions against heat-related illnesses.

The intense heat has also led to warmer nights, adding to discomfort for people across the city and surrounding areas.

Authorities have urged children, senior citizens, and individuals with existing health conditions to remain especially cautious as North India continues to experience extreme summer temperatures.
